RARENET développe de nombreuses actions pour diffuser les connaissances sur des maladies rares et mettre en réseau les chercheurs, les professionnels de santé et les associations de patients, tout en contribuant à une meilleure information du grand public :

Understanding the project issues
La diffusion de la connaissance concernant les maladies rares et complexes se heurte à des difficultés dues notamment à la prévalence même de ces pathologies. Un praticien peut ne jamais y être confronté ou ne rencontrer que quelques cas durant son exercice entier.
Conscient de ces enjeux, le projet RARENET optimise la prise en charge des patients en se fondant sur trois axes de travail : l’auto-formation, l’inter-formation et l’information des publics.
Son échelle d’action est large puisque le réseau compte des partenaires de la Région Grand Est en France, du Bade-Wurtemberg, de la Rhénanie-Palatinat en Allemagne et de la Suisse du Nord-Ouest. RARENET fédère des compétences européennes tout en élargissant le champ d’application de ses travaux à des patients plus nombreux.

RARENET is a project co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) of the European Union in the framework of the INTERREG V Upper Rhine programme. (50% EU – 50% partners)
